Show Ring Warm-Ups:

High Energy Dogs

Live webinar: Tuesday, April 30th @ 4pm PT / 7pm ET

We know that a lot of our students have high energy dogs that they struggle to get warmed up for the ring... This can not only make it more difficult to manage your dog's behaviour in the ring, but it could also be the reason your dog doesn't perform as well as they are able to! Whether it be not trotting to their full potential, not standing still for the stack, not wanting to free bait... you need to warm you dog up for their performance! While this is common practice in human sports and with other animal sports (i.e. horses), it is often overlooked in dog shows. This webinar will focus on getting your high energy dog warmed up for the ring (if you have a low energy dog, stay tuned for next month's webinar!).

Our full list of topics will include...

  • Trotting back and forth
  • How long to trot back and forth
  • The difference between a dog with no warm up & proper amount of warm up
  • Lunging
  • Excessively food-motivated dogs
  • Stacking warm ups: Happy Legs
  • Gaiting warm ups: Cavaletti Poles
  • Morning walk/jog
  • Using weighted vests
  • and more!

You will walk away from this webinar ready to warm-up your high energy dog like a proper athlete!
